Dr. Richard A. Reeves was born and raised on a farm in Atwood , Kansas .  He graduated from the Southern College of  Optometry in Memphis .  He began his practice in Clay Center and Washington in 1975.  Dr. Reeves practices all facets of General Optometry with a special interest in the diabetic patient.  Dr. Reeves has a passion for medical mission work.  He has been involved with missions to Central America and Brazil .  His last mission was to the Amazon River.  Dr. Reeves is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Kansas Optometric Association and the Heart of America Contact Lenses Society.  Dr. Reeve’s hobby is the restoration of damaged automobiles. He and his wife Debbie have 3 children; Amy, Hayley and her husband Mike McNeely, and Jacob.   


Born and raised in Kansas , Dr. Larry D. Stoppel attended undergraduate school at the University of Kansas .  He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University .  Upon graduation, he served four years in the United States Air Force before joining a private practice in Washington and Clay Center Kansas .  He practices full scope optometry including contact lenses and medical treatment of eye diseases such as glaucoma.  After serving on numerous Kansas Optometric Association committees, he was appointed by the Governor in 1995 to the Kansas State Board of Examiners in Optometry.  During his nine years on the KSEBO, he served as president 8 years.  While on the State Board, Stoppel became active in ARBO, the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry.  He was nominated by ARBO to serve on the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) in 2001.  Dr. Stoppel served the ACOE for ten years including 5 years as Chair.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, member of the Kansas and American Optometric Association and Beta Sigma Kappa.  In 2005, he was named Kansas Optometrist of the Year.  He is married to Nancy Tade Stoppel.  They enjoy geocaching and travel.  They have two sons and a daughter in law.  Christopher works in college student services at the University of Kansas as Associate Director of New Student Orientation. He is engaged to Meghan Barnds and will be married in August 2010.  Jon and his wife Alaina Webster live in Olathe Kansas where he is a private practice optometrist and she is a Managing Editor at Allen Press in Lawrence.   The first grandchild, Madeline Olivia Webster-Stoppel (Maddie) was born on 19 August 2008.
